PARIS IN A NIGHT OF GUN AND BOMB ATTACKS



According to reports France has declared a national state of emergency and tightened borders after at least 128 people were killed in a night of gun and bomb attacks in Paris.

About 80 persons were reported to have been killed after gunmen burst into the Bataclan concert hall and took hostages before security forces stormed the hall. People were also shot dead at restaurants and bars at five other sites in Paris. At least 180 people were injured.

The attacks on the 1,500 seating capacity Bataclan hall was by far the deadliest of the night of Friday November 13, 2015 attacks. Gunmen opened fire on the concert goers watching US Rock group "Eagles of Death Metal". The tickets for the  event having been fully sold out.

The said gun men held some hostages after the shootings leaving so many corpses on the venue of the concert. One of the gun men wes reported to have been heard telling the captives that; "it's the fault of your President, he should not have intervened in Syria".

Within an hour, security forces had stormed the concert hall and all four attackers there were dead. Three had blown themselves up and a fourth was shot dead by police.

Meanwhile, not far from the place, de la Republique and the place de La Bastille, three busy restaurants and a bar were targeted by gunmen armed with Kalashnikov's. About 40 people were killed as customers were singled out at venues including a pizza restaurant, Le petit Cambodge.

The other target was the stade de France, on the northern Fringe of Paris, where President Holland's and 80,000 other spectators were watching a friendly match between France and Germany with a TV audience of Millions more.

The President was whisked to safety, after the first of at least two explosions just outside the venue to convene an emergency cabinet meeting. Three attackers were reportedly killed there.

As the extent of the bloodshed became clear, Mr. Hollande's went on national TV to announce a state of emergency for the first time in France since 2005. The decree enables the authorities to close public places and impose curfews and restrictions on the movement of traffic and people.

President Francois Hollande has vowed that France will be "ruthless" in it's response,In the light of the latest and most deadliest terror attacks of Friday night which left at least 128 people dead across France.

Speaking at the site of the Bataclan concert hall in central Paris which is the site of the most severe attacks, where at least 112 people died after gunmen stormed the venue, President Hollande said: "France will not let itself be overwhelmed or frightened even if today we are overcome with sadness and emotion".

The President speaking earlier today, Saturday November 14, 2015 said that ISIS was responsible for the attacks.
"It's an act of war, committed by a terrorist army Daesh (ISIS) an army of Jihadists against France" Hollande  said.
