IBB DECLINES TO CHAIR PDP CONFERENCE

According to Nigerian Vanguard's report, the former Nigerian Millitary Head of state General Ibrahim Babangida (IBB), has declined the request of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to be Chairman of it's National conference scheduled to hold on Wednesday November 12, 2015.

IBB was reported to have declined the PDP offer with a written statement that he has retired from partisan politics since four years ago when he was 70 years old, that he wants to remain neutral since he has friends at both the PDP and the APC and chairing the National conference may not help to portray him as being neutral.

The former general also dispelled the rumours that he may run for the presidency under the PDP in 2019, he declared that he has no such intention as he has since retired from partisan politics since four years ago and he would be 78 in 2019 and thus having retired from partisan politics may not want to go for Presidency anymore.
