Following the recent comments and criticisms of the newly appointed Minister of Defense in Nigeria over, the failure of the past Chief of Army Staff to support President Buhari by producing his SSCE Certificate when the president claimed that the original SSCE certificate was with the Nigerian Army.
A Human rights group has taken up the newly appointed Minister of Defense, "Monsur Dan-Ali" and the authority of the Nigerian Army to bring out and produce the controversial Senior School Certificate (SSCE) of the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed forces, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.)
In a statement issued by the executive Chairman Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Suleiman of Committee for Human Rights and Justice (CHRSJ) group: following the recent statement credited to the new Defence Minister, Monsur Dan-Ali, over the disappearance of the purported original secondary school certificate of General Muhammadu Buhari claimed to be with the country's Military authority prior to the 2015 Presidential election.
General Buhari according to the group's statement, is now President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria now and he is the Commander-in- Chief of the armed forces, no military authority will have the temerity to keep his Military service file now and he should not hesitate to bring out the original secondary school certificate now within seven (7) days for the doubting Thomas to see.
As reported, In the statement the group said;
"We believe that if you are preaching equity, you must come with clean hands. Failure to bring the Certificate out within the stipulated time would be tantamount to the country being governed by the uncertified president and the former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Kenneth Minimah will be vindicated for saying the truth that the controversial SSCE Certificate of the President is not with the Nigerian Army then and the new Defence Minister will be disappointed."
The CHRSJ boss therefore maintained that the group would not hesitate to write the international communities as being empowered by the Freedom of Information Act, to prevail on the authorities of the Nigerian Army to bring out the controversial SSCE Certificate of Mr. President.
The group further explained through it's boss that, they the human rights group will not allow the Nigerian Army and President Muhammadu Buhari to lay down bad precedent in our democratic system.
