ABDUCTED 14 YEAR OLD PATIENCE PAUL DISCOVERED IN SOKOTO & FREED

A 14 year old schoolgirl by name Patience Paul who was allegedly abducted and converted to Islam,  has now been rescued and will be reunited with her parents on Saturday March 5, 2016.

According to TheCable, the teenage girl's father, Paul Isaac Adaji, had reported her missing since August 12, 2015.

Mr. Paul Adaji, said his daughter was forcefully abducted by hisbah in Gidan Kukah, Runjin Sambo, Sokoto.

Governor Aminu Tambuwal, the executive Governor of Sokoto state had ordered investigation into the incident after it went viral on the internet this week.

Patience Paul according to reports was found on Friday night at the house of one Malam Ibrahim, who calls himself Sarkin Baki (“king of strangers”).

Some hisbah (Sharia police) personnel had taken Patience to an imam in Runjin Sambo area of Sokoto with a claim that she wanted to convert to Islam. The imam asked of her age and was told she was 14. He sought the opinion of the Sultanate Council who directed the imam not to proceed because she was underage and could not make such a weighty decision yet.

He was instructed to let her go, but the Imam then informed the hisbah that rather than let her return to her family house, they took her to the Sarkin Baki who claims he provides residence to indigent persons. The “king of strangers” then kept her in his house since September 2015.

He claimed he adopted her because he didn’t want to let her be with the hisbah. He, however, allowed her to be attending both Islamic and government junior secondary school. A police source said Patience claimed she was afraid of returning home because of possible reprisal from her siblings.

ESE ORURU'S MOTHER: IN KANO "THEY COULD HAVE KILLED ME"

While giving the account of her ordeal in trying to rescue back Ese Oruru, her abducted 13 year old Female daughter, the Mother of Ese Oruru said:

"Emir Lamido Sanusi Promised Kano Youth Cars, Houses To Capture, Convert Christian  Girls To Islam"

According to Ese's mother:

"When we arrived Kano, I had to spend the night in the house of the boy that took me there, because we arrived very late in the night at past 12 midnight.

The next day, we proceeded on the search for Ese. Before we arrived Kano, I had received a call from my daughter, asking me where we were and I told her we were close to Abuja.

She advised me to stop at Abuja and spend the night with my sister, as according to her, they would kill me if I came to Kano that night. She said they had taken her photograph and converted her to Islam and wore her the hijab because the emir, Sanusi, promised them that anybody that brought a Christian girl from another state and converted her to Islam would be rewarded with money, given a house, jeep and earn a salary, among other goodies. She said all the people were celebrating with Yinusa.

Still on our way, the man who was taking me to Kano got a call and told me it was Yinusa, but that I should not mind him.

In Kano, in the morning, I asked him to take me to the parent of Yellow, but he said we would first go to the house of the chief and that when we get there the chief would hand over my daughter and we would leave Kano the next day.

When we got to the chief’s house, the boy narrated why he came with me and the chief was so angry and started abusing him. I knew he was abusing him because he spoke little English and Hausa. At that point, I got on my knees and pleaded with him to help me because my husband had driven me out of the house, asking me never to come back until I produced his daughter. He called me useless woman and asked which child did I keep here, that my child has been converted to Islam and I will never see her again.

While we were there, the other Hausa boys, who had stayed in Bayelsa, on hearing the matter, came there to meet me because I was good to them. They made inquiry on how we could get to the emir’s palace and the chief gave us two telephone numbers.

When we got there, one of the soldiers on duty, in front of the palace, saw my desperation, as I was trying to call the telephone number given to us. He approached me and asked what I was doing there and after explaining to him, he took pity on me and said I cannot access the palace from the front gate, that I should go through the back, which I did.

When I got inside, an elderly man walked to us and asked the boy that came with me if he was the one from Bayelsa, and he answered yes. He then asked why he brought me to Kano.
I knelt down to beg him to help me recover my child, that she was only 13. He said it was not possible and that even if I must see her, it had to be on Monday.

Before I knew what was happening, young men started to gather in their large number. I started running. They came after me, hitting me and abusing me. They could have killed me.

While all these was going on, one God-sent man drove into the palace and rescues me. He called the police and they sent one of their patrol vans to the scene immediately.

After rescuing me, they took me to the Kwani police station, close to the palace. I told them my story; they handed me over to the DCO of the station. At the office of the DCO, they took my statement and took it to the DPO.

The DPO, on getting the report, then drafted some policemen to the palace. They did not allow us to enter and before we knew it, people started trooping in; so the policemen sensing danger put me back into the vehicle and drove off back to the police station.

At the police station, the DPO, them decided that since the matter seemed to be getting out of hand, we should go to the palace of the Galadima. On getting there, they told us he was sleeping and that we cannot see him.

From the Galadima, we went to the adviser to the emir’s place and we were again told that he was sleeping; so we decided to go back to the station. On our way, they called to say the Galadima had woken up and that we should come back.

When we returned, the policemen told him why they were there, but he drove us away, saying he was not aware of any case of a girl in the palace.

On leaving the Galadima, we went to the secretary’s place; that was about seven o’clock in the evening. When we got there, they were praying; so we had to wait and after the prayers, he asked why we were there. The policemen told him and he said he was aware of the matter but that there was nothing he could do because he was traveling and promised to act on it when he returned. It was him that now promised that we should go and come back on Monday and that they would bring the girl on that day.

From there we went back to the police station and I was advised not to go back to the village, where I slept because I would be killed. I then pleaded with them to allow me sleep at the station until Monday since I didn’t have any relation in Kano. They said I cannot stay there because the irate youths may come and burn down the station that I should look for a hotel to spend the weekend.

However, one of the policewomen offered to accommodate me, so I went with her and stayed with her till Monday when we agreed to meet at 10 in the morning.

On Monday, I went back to the station from where some policemen took me to the palace. On getting there, we saw that the whole place was filled with youths, who abused us openly and threatening to attack us. When the police could no longer tolerate the situation, they took me back to the police station and promised to go back when the emir got to the palace.

We returned to the police station. They later called to say the emir had arrived the palace and that we should come back. This was at about one o’clock in the afternoon. At the palace, one jeep came with my daughter.

There were also two policemen in the vehicle and the chief of Tufa, with another man. The two policemen took my daughter inside.

Inside was Yinusa, and my daughter, who they called  Aisha. They did not allow me inside. The DCO went in and later stormed out in anger, saying he cannot tolerate a situation where the mother of a child would not be allowed to interfere in a matter that concerns her and where she cannot be allowed to go with her daughter.

At this point, tension in the palace got very high; so they quickly pushed me into the car and drove off back to the police station. At the police station, the DCO reported back to the DPO and then said with the way the matter was going, he would have to refer me to the state CID.

We then proceeded to the state CID, and they took the letter and the statement and said since the case happened in Bayelsa, I would have to come with police personnel from the Bayelsa state command before they could commence investigation. So they advised me to go back to Bayelsa".

HOW ETHNIC CLASH BETWEEN YORUBA & HAUSA STARTED IN LAGOS

In the popular Mile 12 Area in Lagos, Nigeria, no fewer than 5 persons have been confirmed to have been killed and several cars vandalized with many injured from what started as a minor fracas on Wednesday March 2, 2016 that resulted into a major Yoruba & Hausa interethnic clash in Lagos, Nigeria.

The clash lasted for hours & scores of people were injured before the Nigerian Army and police restored peace to the area.

According to THISDAY the clash was caused by an Hausa motor cyclist who hit a female trader and attempted to flee to safety despite pressure by passers-by to take her to the hospital.

Encouraged by his fellow Northern motorcyclists who had by then besieged the scene, the bike rider allegedly refused to offer help insisting that the union of motor cyclists should do so.

The Okada rider was said to have reasoned that since the union was always quick to collect tolls from them, they should also take care of the hospital bills from the tax paid & accumulated.

Angered by the standoffish attitude of the riders, an argument ensured and later led to a fight after the Yoruba traders left only to regroup and come back.

Having regrouped, they invaded the market, chanting war songs as they allegedly attacked the Hausa traders, who were mostly at the area where tomatoes, beans and pepper are sold.

In the process, several stalls were burnt, while three Hausa traders were said to have been killed.

The fight was said to have lasted all through Wednesday till Thursday when some thugs believed to be of Yoruba origin invaded the market & started attacking Hausa traders.

Information reaching Rave Desk is that the Lagos State Government has imposed an indefinite curfew on the area of the clash, pending the restoration of peace between the clashing communities.

The  Commissioner of Police in charge of Lagos state, Fatai Owoseni is reported to have led the operation by the security agents to restore peace in the area. While the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police Dolapo Badmus has confirmed that:

"Right now, the police is restoring normalcy to area while the CP is engaging the market people and community leaders in a peace talk. Investigations are ongoing to unravel the root cause of the fracas".

DONALD TRUMP DESCRIBES HIS POLITICS AS "COMMON- SENSE CONSERVATISM"

American Republican Presidential Aspirant for nomination, Donald Trump has described his politics as, "common - sense conservatism", a term he coined only last week and had been using ever since on his campaign speeches.

While other Republican opponents has criticised Trump's views as not in tune with conservative politics. Mr. Trump agrees also but said;
"I like to say I am a conservative with common sense or I am a common sense conservative. It may not be a Republican thing...but so be it...because people like it".

A practical case of his common - sense conservatism is Trump's approach to planned Parenthood, a nonprofit organisation which provides Reproductive health services to millions of low-income women.

It is a Republican obsession to stop the federal funding of planned parenthood, and Mr. Cruz (a strong Republican candidate also vying for US Presidency) has even promised to launch an investigation against it. But Trump supports the organization even while opposing abortion. According to Trump:

"When I'm President, I am not going to let people die in the middle of the street because they have no money".

Other Republican candidates especially Rubio and Cruz thinks that, "socializing" medical care is a restriction on individual choices and liberty.

That may well be the truly conservative (Republican) notion but Trump's common - sense conservatism seems to resonate well with the low- income uninsured Americans, and have enjoyed much support this season.

Why You Should Breastfeed for 6 Months Exclusively

Many mothers often find it difficult to breastfeed their babies for six months because of a variety of reasons which may range from work, less breast milk production or other reasons why it isn't convenient to exclusively breastfeed their baby for six months.

Medical studies have shown that breast milk contains anti bodies that will help your baby fight off viruses and Bacteria. Breast feeding helps to lower your baby's risk of having asthma or allergies.

Babies who are breast fed exclusively for the first 6 months, without any infant formula, have fewer ear infections, respiratory illnesses and bouts of diarrhea.

Breast feeding has been linked to higher IQ scores in later childhood in some studies. What's more, the physical closeness, skin-to-skin bond with the mother helps make babies feel secure.

Breast fed infants are more likely to gain the right amount of weight as they grow rather than become overweight children.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has said that breastfeeding also plays a role in the prevention of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).

Breastfeeding helps to burn out extra calories off breastfeeding mothers, so it can also help you loose weight faster. It releases the hormone oxytocin, which helps your uterus return to it's pre-pregnancy size and may reduce uterine bleeding after birth.

Breastfeeding also lowers your risk of breast and ovarian cancer. It may lower your risk of osteoporosis too.

Since you don't have to buy and measure formula, sterilize nipples or warm bottles, it may save you time and money it also gives you regular time to relax quietly with your new born as you bond.

During the first few days after birth, your breast milk produces an ideal first milk, called "Colostrum". Colostrum is thick, yellowish and comes out scanty, but there's plenty to meet your baby's nutritional needs. Colostrum helps a newborn's digestive tract to develop and prepare itself to digest breast milk.

Most babies lose a small amount of weight in the first 3 to 5 days after birth, but this is unrelated to breastfeeding.

As your baby needs more milk and nurses more, your breast responds by making more milk, so a mother should not stop breastfeeding exclusively at the earlier stage because as you keep giving the baby the breast milk the more it comes out.

Experts recommend breastfeeding exclusively ( no formula, juice, or water) for 6 months. If you supplement milk with formula, your breast milk might might less milk.

Even if you breastfeed less than the recommended 6 months, it's better to breastfeed for a short time than no time at all.

You can add solid food as from 6 months and above but also continue to breastfeed your baby if you want to keep producing milk and most appropriately until when your baby can feed very well and can be nutritionally balanced without breastfeeding which is ideally at 2 years.

LETTING GO OF BITTERNESS

There comes a time in every man's life when the worse form of experiences with other men such as; betrayal and deceit etc causes so much bitterness. At that point it is either you make a choice between "Forgiveness" and "Hatred".

The beauty of life is that it is normal to be hurt, apart from the fact that everyone does not have the same orientation in life, people are different.

Not everyone is mearnt to repay your good deeds, not everyone is mearnt to render help and assistance to you when you are in need, even if they are in the right position to do same or despite the fact that they're even very close or related to you.

But the choice for a fulfilling and rewarding life is to choose love above hatred, let go of every bitterness and move on, it's not because you can't hold on to hatred, but it's because you're better off without hatred or bitterness.

Love is a better companion that liberates your soul, spirit and body, it infuses joy and health upon your flesh it brings vitality and energy and gives you so much life support and strength to forge ahead.
